Back to Lori's Diner and the Case of the Intriguing Waitress,

She was wearing the requisite diner-dress uniform, replete with short apron and slightly bitter, suspicious table service manner.

The thing is that she had no hair. No eyelashes. no eyebrows. None.

She had half-hearted pencilled brows. She had lined her eyes with brown liner. She had a folded red bandana tied over her scalp. She was very very ghostly pale.

We were all so wrapped up in our little meeting that no-one reacted or even spoke about her even after we left.

An alopecian waitress?

Or would a cancer patient work in a diner?
